#TBT: PLUNA international routes to and from Uruguay in 1970

In 1970, Primeras Líneas Uruguayas de Navegación Aérea, also known as Pluna, operated mostly international routes to and from Montevideo, the company’s main hub throughout its history.

Pluna’s operating markets were Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay, in addition to Uruguay. Asunción, Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro, Rosario and Sao Paulo were part of the schedule.

Regarding aircraft, the Uruguayan company used its Vickers Viscount 745D incorporated in December 1967 and its first Boeing 737-200, which joined Pluna in early 1970.
