Argentine Navy confirms interest in Norway’s Lockheed P-3 Orion fleet
At the reception ceremony of a SAAB 340B and a TC-12 Huron from the Argentine Air Force, the head of the Argentinian Navy (Armada Argentina) indicated that during the first week of March a delegation from Norway will arrive in the country to work on the sale of a number to be determined of Lockheed P-3 Orion maritime patrol aircraft in their C and N versions.
According to Admiral Julio Horacio Guardia, the requirement will include a P-3N configured for SAR (Search And Rescue) missions and an undetermined number of P-3Cs for ASW (Anti Submarine Warfare) missions.
