Canada Jetlines and Qatar Airways are in discussions for a potential collaboration that would include establishing non-stop flights between Toronto-Pearson Airport and Doha.
«We are pleased to discuss potential opportunities with Qatar Airways, an international airline known for its world-class service and consistently recognised by the industry and consumers as the best airline in the world,» said Eddy Doyle, president and CEO of Canada Jetlines.
«Qatar is not only a growing and exciting destination, it is also home to the world’s best airport, Hamad International Airport, which provides seamless connectivity to Qatar Airways’ superior global network,» he added.

The partnership aims to offer passengers on Canada Jetlines’ North American network the ability to access the more than 150 destinations that Qatar Airways operates from its hub at Hamad International Airport, which was recently named the best in the world by Skytrax.
Canada Jetlines clarified in the statement that this partnership agreement «is subject to the airlines obtaining all necessary approvals, including, without limitation, approvals from Transport Canada and the Canadian Transportation Agency, as well as execution of all applicable agreements between the parties».

Qatar Airways’ presence in Canada is currently limited to one daily flight between Doha and Montreal on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
Canada Jetlines is a low-cost leisure airline that began scheduled flights in September 2022 and has a fleet of two 174-seat Airbus A320 aircraft, to which it expects to add a further 13 by 2025 (3 in 2023, 5 in 2024 and 5 in 2025). In March, its network reaches Toronto, Las Vegas (Nevada), Cancun, Melbourne (Florida), Vancouver and Calgary.
