Delta Reconnects Minneapolis and Japan After Three Years

On March 25 Delta Air Lines reactivated its nonstop services between Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) and Tokyo – Haneda (HND) after a three-year suspension in the wake of the pandemic crisis. In October 2022, the airline reconnected MSP to Asia with the resumption of the Seoul – Incheon (ICN) route.

Flight DL 121 was operated by an Airbus A330neo registered as N410DZ, which took off from Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport (MSP) at 11:08 local time and landed at Tokyo International Airport – Haneda (HND) at 14:07 the following day, after 12 hours and 59 minutes.

The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) and Delta welcomed the resumption of this service. MSP is one of the airline’s five hubs connecting to Haneda Airport (HND). Approximately 17,000 passengers fly between Tokyo and Minneapolis annually, in addition to connecting travelers through the airline’s network of destinations at MSP.

We are delighted that Delta is bringing back these daily flights to continue to meet the strong commercial and passenger demand between the Upper Midwest and Japan“, said Brian Ryks, chief executive officer of MAC.
