Hawaiian Airlines boosts flights to Continental US and American Samoa

Hawaiian Airlines is preparing to meet strong demand for the 2023 summer season by increasing operations on key routes in the states of Texas, Massachusetts, Nevada and California. The carrier will also increase flights to American Samoa.

We are encouraged by the solid demand for travel to Hawaii this summer season and these increases indicate a healthy return in our key North American markets“, said Brent Overbeek, Hawaiian Airlines senior vice president and chief revenue officer.

We are also excited to add a fourth HNL-LAX option and a second twice-weekly red-eye flight, making other connections to the continental U.S. seamless and convenient“, Overbeek added.

Hawaiian will have 68,364 weekly seats on offer in the transcontinental market to the United States from its main hub in Honolulu (HNL) for the summer season. The carrier flies nonstop to Austin (AUS), Boston (BOS), New York (JFK), Las Vegas (LAS), Los Angeles (LAX), Long Beach (LGB), Oakland (OAK), Ontario (ONT), Portland (PDX), Phoenix (PHX), San Diego (SAN), Seattle (SEA), San Francisco (SFO), San Jose (SJC) and Sacramento (SMF).

All of the airline’s flights in this market are operated on Airbus A330-200 and A321neo aircraft with seating capacity of 278 and 189 respectively.

Schedule increases for the summer season

  • Austin, Texas (AUS): increases from 3 to 4 weekly flights in the period May 26 through August 18.
  • Boston, Massachusetts (BOS): increases from 4 to 5 flights per week for the period June 15 through August 17.
  • Las Vegas, Nevada (LAS): increases from 19 to 20 weekly flights for the period June 3 through July 29.
  • Los Angeles, California (LAX): increases from 21 to 23 weekly flights for the period June 2 to July 28.
  • Pago Pago, American Samoa (PPG): increases from 2 to 3 weekly flights for the period June 7 to August 30.

Hawaiian Airlines currently has a schedule of 130 daily flights within the Hawaiian Islands and international service to Australia, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea and Tahiti.
