Neos is expanding its North American network with a new service between Milan – Malpensa (MXP) and Toronto – Pearson (YYZ) starting April 6, 2023. For the first time, the airline will have scheduled flights to Canada, complementing its operations in the United States and Mexico.
With this new non-stop service, the company aims to offer connections to its customers in Amritsar with its destinations to New York (JFK) and Toronto – Pearson (YYZ), offering the consumer a new alternative to fly between India and North America via northern Italy.
Currently, Neos offers one weekly frequency between Amritsar (ATQ) and Milan (MXP); from April 5, it will increase it to two weekly flights (Wednesdays and Fridays), providing passengers with a more convenient connection to Canada and the United States. The company seeks to capture the strong VFR (family and/or friends visiting) and student demand between India and North America.
According to data compiled by Aviacionline through the Ente Nazionale Per L’Aviazione Civile (ENAC), India was the second most important market in the Asia – Pacific region for Italy in terms of passengers in 2019 where 339,419 travelers were mobilized.
