Ryanair announced plans to add three Boeing 737-8200 «Gamechanger» aircraft to its base at London Luton Airport (LLA). The decision was made in collaboration with the airport operator to ensure sustainable operations.

The 737-8200 is the ultra-high-density version of the Boeing 737 MAX family -8 variant, configured to carry 197 passengers. These new jets reduce noise pollution by 40% and CO₂ emissions by 16%.
Ryanair DAC CEO, Eddie Wilson, stated: «As Europe and the UK’s number one airline, Ryanair is delighted to announce the addition of three ‘Gamechanger’ aircraft to our fleet at London Luton Airport, making our LLA operations even more sustainable by reducing noise emissions by 40% and fuel consumption by 16%, while offering 4% more capacity per aircraft.»

Ryanair will operate over 140 weekly flights to 27 destinations from its London Luton Airport base during summer 2023, including nine new routes to Bezier, Bologna, Malta, and Seville.
