On Saturday, May 20, an Aerolineas Argentinas Airbus A330 registered as LV-KHT, took off from Marana Airport, located 20 kilometers north of Tucson, Arizona. This plane is set to become the ninth wide-body aircraft of the airline.
The A330-243 LV-KHT will arrive at Ezeiza Airport (Buenos Aires) on the morning of Sunday, May 21, where it will await the necessary approval procedures by the National Civil Aviation Administration.
This A330 is one of two long-haul aircraft the company plans to incorporate in the short term. The goal is to recover a fleet of 10 wide-body aircraft. Both incoming aircraft had previously flown for South African Airways.
In addition, the airline plans to add at least three Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and a second dedicated freighter, a 737-800 BCF, which is currently also en route to Buenos Aires.
