Breeze Airways Expands Routes: New Services to Florida, Louisiana, and California

This week, Breeze Airways inaugurated new routes from Bradley International Airport (BDL), extending its network to Florida, Louisiana, and California. As the low-cost airline approaches its second anniversary in Hartford, Connecticut (BDL), the expansion marks a significant milestone.

The service kickoff was flight MX 536 on May 17, operated by an Airbus A220-300, registration N208BZ. The aircraft took off from Bradley International Airport (BDL) at 08:26 local time, landing at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) at 11:15, marking a two-hour and 48-minute journey.

The following day, flight MX 532 embarked on the second new non-stop route, using aircraft registration N216BZ. Departing Hartford (BDL) at 08:10 local time, the service arrived at Tampa International Airport (TPA) at 10:45, completing the journey in two hours and 35 minutes.

«As we approach our second anniversary on May 27, we’ve expanded from just four to 18 destinations from Bradley International in two years. We appreciate the Greater Hartford community and all of Connecticut for facilitating our rapid growth. We anticipate further expansion,» said David Neeleman, founder and CEO of Breeze Airways.

Breeze Airways’ Hartford Expansion: New Routes

  • Fort Myers, Florida (RSW): Service began on May 17 with biweekly flights (Wednesday and Saturday).
  • Tampa, Florida (TPA): Service started on May 18 with tri-weekly flights (Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday).
  • New Orleans, Louisiana (MSY): Commenced on May 19 with biweekly flights (Monday and Friday).
  • Los Angeles, California (LAX): Daily flights, no aircraft changeovers or stopovers, facilitated by the BreezeThru program.

The services are operated on Airbus A220 aircraft, with promotional fares starting at USD 79 one way. Breeze Airways is slated to provide 11,178 weekly seats at Hartford (BDL) for the 2023 northern summer season.

In addition to the new routes, Breeze Airways continues to provide nonstop flights from Bradley International Airport (BDL) to Charleston (CHS), Columbus (CMH), Jacksonville (JAX), Las Vegas (LAS), Norfolk (ORF), Phoenix (PHX), Pittsburgh (PIT), Raleigh (RDU), Richmond (RIC), Savannah (SAV), Sarasota (SRQ), and Vero Beach (VRB).
