Norse Atlantic has announced that from September 18th it will replace its operations at Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL) and will fly to Miami International Airport (MIA) from London/Gatwick (LGW) and Oslo (OSL).

Customers who have bookings to fly to Fort Lauderdale after September 17th will be offered the option to be relocated to the new service to Miami or receive a full refund.

Norse Atlantic Airways’ CEO, Bjorn Tore Larsen, expressed his satisfaction in being able to now offer the popular Miami destination as part of their winter route network. He highlighted the high passenger demand in Miami, in both direct and connecting flights, compared to other airports in the region.

Meanwhile, the executive director of MIA, Ralph Cutié, showed his enthusiasm for MIA being chosen as the destination for all Norse Atlantic flights in South Florida and expressed his desire to welcome the London Gatwick service to Miami-Dade County.

The new flight schedule is part of the company’s expansion plan. Recently, Norse Atlantic launched flights from Gatwick to destinations such as Barbados (BGI), Boston (BOS), Kingston (KIN) and Montego Bay (MBJ), as well as from Oslo to Bangkok (BKK), Thailand.
