Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is set to resume flights to Africa in the 2023/2024 winter season after a 17-year hiatus. The airline will inaugurate two seasonal routes from Denmark and Sweden to Agadir, Morocco (AGA), designed with the comfort and convenience of passengers in mind.

As per the data sourced from Cirium, SAS last took to Africa’s skies in April 2006 with a direct service between Copenhagen (CPH) and Cairo (CAI), leveraging Airbus A321s.

Agadir is a preferred vacation spot for European tourists during the northern winter. The city offers idyllic beaches, a pleasant climate, and a plethora of activities including surfing, golfing, and sampling the exquisite Moroccan cuisine.

  • Flight SK 2503 Copenhagen – Agadir, CPH 08:35 – AGA 12:20, Saturdays.
  • Flight SK 2504 Agadir – Copenhagen, AGA 13:10 – CPH 18:55, Saturdays.
Sweden
  • Flight SK 2505 Stockholm/Arlanda – Agadir, ARN 08:15 – AGA 13:30, Saturdays.
  • Flight SK 2506 Agadir – Stockholm/Arlanda, AGA 14:30 – ARN 19:45, Saturdays.

The service will be facilitated by the Airbus A320neo aircraft, offering a capacity of 180 seats across two classes (SAS Plus and SAS Go), with promotional fares starting from USD 200 each way.

SAS continues to enhance its leisure market offerings, both in long-haul and medium/short-haul segments, providing customers with an array of destination choices for their winter escapades.

  • Bergen (BGO) – Tenerife (TFS): commencing October 8 with a weekly flight (Sundays).
  • Stavanger (SVG) – Tenerife (TFS): commencing October 8 with a weekly flight (Sundays).
  • Copenhagen (CPH) – Bangkok (BKK): commencing October 30 with thrice-weekly flights.
  • Bergen (BGO) – Gran Canaria (LPA): commencing November 4 with a weekly flight (Saturdays).
  • Stockholm/Arlanda (ARN) – Seville (SVQ): commencing February 24, 2024 with a weekly flight (Saturdays).
