On June 11 Air India began non-stop flights between Delhi and Amsterdam after a 26-year hiatus. The Dutch capital is the airline’s eighth destination in the Old Continent served from Delhi and the fourth European city where the airline has inaugurated services this year, complementing routes to Copenhagen, Milan – Malpensa and Vienna.
Flight AI 155 was operated by a Boeing 787 registered VT-NAC, which took off from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) at 13:25 local time and landed at Schiphol Airport (AMS) at 17:49, after seven hours and 54 minutes.
Air India is the only Indian carrier to fly to the Netherlands and will offer 4,096 seats per week between Delhi and Amsterdam. The airline will compete in this segment with KLM which offers daily flights.

The route is operated by Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner with 256 seats in two classes (18 Business Class/238 Economy) and promotional fares are available from USD 960 round trip.
Air India has a schedule of 77 weekly flights between India and Europe, from its main hub in Delhi the airline has non-stop flights to London – Heathrow, Frankfurt, Paris, Birmingham, Milan, Vienna, Copenhagen and Amsterdam.
The airline also operates from other Indian cities to Europe where it has services from Mumbai to London – Heathrow; Amritsar to Birmingham and London – Gatwick; and Ahmedabad, Kochi and Goa to London – Gatwick.
