Deutsche Aircraft has selected seat manufacturer company Acro Aircraft Seating to supply economy class seats for the Dornier D328 family of regional aircraft, which includes the D328eco.

Dornier D328 will be equipped with seats designed by Acro
Under the agreement reached at the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) 2023 held in Hamburg, Acro will supply the German aerospace manufacturer with their new Series 9 seats, specifically designed for regional aircraft economy classes.
“Ideal for airlines travelling regional and short-haul routes, these seats have a wider seat pitch, a robust yet lightweight design, require less maintenance and are more reliable”, Deutsche Aircraft highlighted in a press release.
“Acro Aircraft Seating has been selected based on a multifunctional assessment of innovation, sustainability, quality and economic factors”, explained Nico Neumann, COO of Deutsche Aircraft. “Besides serving our D328eco in a baseline forty-passenger configuration, the selected seats will be available as a retrofit option for our D328 Turboprop and D328 Jet, enhancing the passenger experience of our operating aircraft”, he added.
“This selection is a significant step within the D328eco development schedule, as we are now completing the interior selection for the cabin, cargo and cockpit”, Neumann continued. “I look forward to a long-term relationship and many happy customers”, he concluded.

Acro Series 9 seats
The Acro Series 9 seats are specifically designed for short-haul services. They all feature USB ports for personal device charging. Additionally, they are lighter compared to other products in their segment, contributing to reducing the overall weight of the aircraft and consequently lowering fuel consumption and associated emissions.
