British low-cost carrier easyJet has announced the launch of fifteen new routes from Birmingham Airport (BHX) for the upcoming summer season in 2024, including four routes to Spain.
“Flights will be on sale in the coming months”, the company explained in a press release published yesterday. Meanwhile, easyJet Holidays customers can already access them through the airline’s official sales channels, as well as holiday packages to Alicante, Antalya, Barcelona, Berlin, Corfu, Dalaman, Enfidha, Heraklion, Jersey, Kos, Larnaca, Málaga, Rhodes, Sharm el-Sheikh and Tenerife.
Last May, easyJet announced that it will base three Airbus A320 aircraft with a capacity for 186 passengers in Birmingham starting from the spring of the following year. The establishment of the new base will create around one hundred direct jobs for pilots and crew members and will also lead to the creation of approximately 1.200 indirect jobs. Currently, the company operates a network of thirteen destinations from the airport.

- Heraklion (HER): one weekly flight. Commencing on April 3, 2024.
- Larnaca (LCA): one weekly flight. Commencing on April 3, 2024.
- Kos (KGS): one weekly flight. Commencing on May 10, 2024.
easyJet will compete with other operators on all routes, with the exception of flights to Berlin: it will be the only carrier connecting the British city to the German capital.
