Norse Atlantic Airways transported 58.680 passengers and recorded an average load factor of 73% in May 2023, marking the third consecutive month of increases. The carrier highlighted its period of growth and expressed readiness to enhance operations during the summer season.
This figure, which includes both scheduled and charter services, represents a six-percentage-point increase compared to April. Norse Atlantic continues to grow
«We are very pleased to report that May was our third highest load factor since operations began and to see a month on month increase for the third consecutive month», stated Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO of Norse Atlantic Airways.
«We have worked hard to ensure a robust operation and sufficient crew numbers to deliver a significant ramp up in production for the peak summer months and we are looking forward to welcoming on board an increasing number of passengers during this period», he added.
On June 14, Norse Atlantic will celebrate its first anniversary since the start of operations. Regarding this milestone, the company’s top executive praised its growth and highlighted that the currently operational fleet of fifteen aircraft will enable them to serve twelve airports this summer, including five in Europe and seven in the United States.
«We remain committed to delivering on our pledge to become the world’s first profitable low cost long haul airline», emphasized Tore Larsen.
In May, the company launched flights from London-Gatwick (LGW) to Orlando (MCO) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL). Furthermore, starting on July 1, it will operate flights between the London airport and the Californian cities of Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO).
Additionally, the airline will fly from London-Gatwick (LGW) and Oslo (OSL) to Miami (MIA) from September 18.
