A batch of new Su-35S fighter jets was delivered to the Russian Ministry of Defense by the Komsomolsk-on-Amur aviation plant of the United Aircraft Corporation (part of State Corporation Rostec). The aircraft flew to their destination airfield.

Each Su-35S was received by the technical services and underwent flight tests, in various modes of operation, before being received by the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS).

The 4++ generation fighters, built at KNAAZ, were delivered as part of the current year’s re-equipment program agreed with the Ministry of Defense. The previous batch of fighters was delivered in 2022.

“UAC enterprises fulfilling the state defense order, and the Komsomolsk plant among them, received a significant amount of funds under the program of technical re-equipment and production modernization thanks to state support. New facilities and production units have been put into operation. This allows us to increase serial production and increase production volumes,” stated Yuri Slyusar, CEO of United Aircraft Corporation. “We will continue to fulfill our obligations under signed contracts. Su-35s of the next batches are already in production. In addition, deliveries of Su-57 fifth-generation fighters to the Russian Air Force will increase this year.”
