Air Canada has opened its new Maple Leaf Lounge at San Francisco International Airport, the airline’s 28th lounge worldwide and third in the United States. The new lounge, located in Terminal 2, features the Canadian airline’s first open-air terrace and a wide range of snack and beverage services, providing customers with a more comfortable and enjoyable travel experience.
The new lounge terrace overlooks the runway and aircraft and has an area of 761 square meters and 165 seats, reinforcing Air Canada’s airport service for customers traveling from California to Canada or across Europe, Asia and Australia via its hubs in Toronto – Pearson, Montreal and Vancouver.
The new Maple Leaf Lounge in San Francisco will feature California-inspired design and décor, as well as the food and beverage selection it provides. The VIP lounge will feature unique seafood dishes, a selection of California wine and craft beer from Sierra Nevada Brewing Company and Anchor Brewing.

The new space is Air Canada’s latest addition to its growing lounge network. The airline has also reintroduced Newark Airport to its Lounge roster with the opening of the United Club SM in Terminal A. This new location will provide customers with a customer service desk exclusive to the airline.
Air Canada’s Maple Leaf lounges are available to customers with higher status in the Aeroplan frequent flyer program, Star Alliance Gold members and customers with a Business Class ticket with Air Canada or another Star Alliance member. The Canadian flag carrier has 19 lounges worldwide.
Operations between San Francisco and Canada
Air Canada, in partnership with United, has a schedule of up to 21 daily flights from San Francisco to Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and Montreal, providing a capacity of nearly 21,000 seats per week. Some services between San Francisco and Toronto are served by the Canadian airline’s wide-body aircraft with reclining seats.
