Intercepted by a Brazilian Air Force (FAB) A-29 Super Tucano, the pilot of an irregular flight landed and set fire to his aircraft, fleeing before the police arrived.

As part of Joint Operation Agata South, today the FAB intercepted a suspicious single-engine Piper PA-28 flying without a flight plan in the western region of Paraná (southern Brazil). Air defense pilots monitored the aircraft, using A-29 Super Tucano aircraft and the EMB-145 AEW&C Airborne Early Warning and Control aircraft (designated in the FAB as E-99).

The pilot of the suspect aircraft made a landing on a runway in the city of Tuneiras do Oeste (Paraná State), fleeing the scene, leaving the aircraft in flames before police officers arrived.
