Dominican airline Sky High Aviation will start flying twice a week between Santo Domingo and St. Croix (STX) from August 19th.
The DO925 flight will depart from Las Americas International Airport on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:00 AM, arriving at Henry E. Rohlsen Airport at 10:00 AM. The return flight, DO926, will depart at 11:00 AM, estimated to arrive in the Dominican capital at 12:00 PM.
The route will be operated with Embraer E190 aircraft featuring 97 seats in two classes (9 Business Class/88 Economy), with fares starting from USD 412 for a round trip.
For this summer season, Sky High also has scheduled flights to Anguilla, Martinique, Antigua, Miami, Aruba, Santo Domingo, Bonaire, Sint Maarten, Tortola, Saint Kitts, Curacao, Santiago de Cuba, Guadeloupe, Caracas, Havana, Valencia, Providence, and St. Thomas.
Sky High Adds More Planes
The airline has two Embraer ERJ 145 aircraft with capacity for 50 passengers, and in mid-2022, it added two Embraer 190 planes with 97 seats, activating two more this year. It also operates a Boeing 737-300 (SF) exclusively for cargo operations.
Recently, a fifth Embraer 190 in Sky High livery, registered HI-1091, was spotted at the manufacturer’s facilities in Macon, Georgia. The company is also considering adding two Embraer 175 and two Embraer 195 aircraft to further expand its destination network.
Flights in St. Croix
According to data obtained by Aviacionline from Cirium, in July the network of destinations served from the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport includes Atlanta (Delta Air Lines), Charlotte-Douglas (American Airlines), Fort Lauderdale (Spirit Airlines), Miami (American Airlines), San Juan (Silver Airways) and St. Thomas (Cape Air and Silver Airways).
The airport is located 10 kilometers southwest of Christiansted and has a runway 3,049 meters in length.
