World2Fly expands its offer between Spain and the Dominican Republic with the start of a new non-stop connection between Madrid and Samaná. This service complements the company’s operations to Santo Domingo, Punta Cana and Santiago de los Caballeros.
The first service began on July 6, flight 2W 3121 was operated in an Airbus A350. The aircraft took off from Adolfo Suaréz International Airport (MAD) at 18:45 local time and landed at El Catey International Airport (AZS) at 20:43, after seven hours and 55 minutes.
Juan Llaneras, Soltour’s technical director, said: «The operation to Samaná reaffirms our commitment to this Caribbean paradise destination. We are convinced that our service is differential and we offer travel agencies the best alternatives so that travelers can discover an exclusive destination and a different Caribbean in Samaná«.
World2Meet’s airline and in association with tour operator Soltour Travel Partners continue to offer travelers more travel options in the Caribbean for their vacations. On June 30, World2Fly launched a non-stop service between Lisbon and Samana, and is now the only airline to offer long-haul flights from El Catey International Airport.

- This service operates seasonally and will end on September 14, 2023.
The route will be operated on Airbus A350-900 aircraft with a capacity of 432 in single economy class configuration and Soltour offers holiday packages starting from €850. At present, the World2Meet airline is the European carrier operating to the most destinations in the Dominican Republic.
According to data obtained by Aviacioline through La Junta de Aviación Civil (JAC), 5,973 passengers were mobilized in 2022 between Madrid and Samaná. In addition, in the same year, World2Fly transported 163,998 passengers between Europe and the Dominican Republic.

World2Meet’s airline will have 9,328 weekly seats on offer between Europe and the Dominican Republic during the high season.
From Madrid (MAD):
- Santiago de los Caballeros (STI): Wednesday.
- Samaná (AZS): Thursdays.
- Punta Cana (PUJ): Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
- Santo Domingo (SDQ): Thursday and Sunday.
From Lisbon (LIS):
- Samana (AZS): Friday.
- Punta Cana (PUJ): Mondays and Tuesdays.
All services are operated by Airbus A350-900 aircraft, except for the Madrid – Santiago de los Caballeros route, which is operated by Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
