JetBlue and Air Serbia signed a new codeshare agreement, initially enabling the US-based airline to place its B6 code on flights that Air Serbia operates from its hub at Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade (BEG) to John F. Kennedy Airport in New York and O’Hare Airport in Chicago. This is an evolution of the existing interline agreement between the two companies.
In a later stage, JetBlue will be able to incorporate its code on Air Serbia’s flights to European destinations beyond Belgrade, while the European airline plans to do the same by placing its JU code on flights to 25 cities in JetBlue’s network.
«We continuously look to expand our partnerships to offer more options to our customers. Air Serbia has been a successful interline partner since 2016 and we see great potential with this new codeshare. We welcome customers from Air Serbia aboard our flights, so they can experience our low fares and great service«, said Robin Hayes, CEO of JetBlue.
Jiri Marek, CEO of Air Serbia, stated they are «very pleased with the future collaboration with JetBlue and believe that this significantly enhances the travel possibilities between the United States and destinations within the Air Serbia network, especially those in the broader Balkan region«.
Currently, Air Serbia operates a daily flight between Belgrade and New York/JFK and three weekly flights between Belgrade and Chicago/O’Hare. Both services are operated using Airbus A330-200 aircraft, with 21 seats in Business and 236 in Economy.
