In a strategic move unveiled at the 2023 Asia-Pacific Airline Training Symposium (APATS), Embraer and CAE have taken their joint venture to new heights, now encompassing comprehensive pilot and cabin crew training for E2 aircraft that serve the Asia-Pacific region.

The Embraer-CAE Training Services (ECTS), a collaborative endeavor between the two companies, is set to launch an extensive pilot training program. A state-of-the-art flight simulator is also on the agenda, ready for installation at the Singapore Flight Training Centre. The first training sessions are scheduled to commence in December 2023.

Johann Bordais, President and CEO of Embraer Services & Support, expressed his excitement about this strategic expansion. “We are thrilled to diversify our services and roll out the E2 pilot training program. This move is aimed at providing vital support to the escalating number of E2 model operators in the region. Our commitment to delivering top-tier training programs to our E2 operators remains unwavering,” he affirmed.

On a similar note, Michel Azar-Hmouda, CAE’s Vice President of Commercial Aviation Training, highlighted the evolution of this partnership. He stated that “the incorporation of the E2 platform into our joint venture marks a logical progression in the 16-year-long collaboration between CAE and Embraer. Introducing this program in Singapore brings E2 training closer to our regional customers. Our aim is to ensure that their pilots are impeccably prepared as this model becomes integrated into their fleets.”

ECTS stands as a pivotal component within the broader Embraer Services & Support platform, which amalgamates an all-encompassing range of solutions for operators of the Brazilian company’s aircraft. The E2 training program harnesses the power of the CAE 7000XR series flight simulators paired with the CAE Tropos 6000XR visual system, in conjunction with CAE XR series flight training devices.
