LATAM announced that its direct flight between Florianópolis and Santiago will be operated on a regular basis as of November 1st. In addition, exclusively between November 2023 and March 2024, the flight will be operated with a daily frequency.

Resumed in 2022 after the COVID-19 pandemic, the seasonal route was operated five times a week and only during the high season.

The direct flight between Florianópolis and Santiago reduces travel time between the capital of Santa Catarina and Chile by up to 50%, compared to a flight with a connection at Guarulhos Airport in Sao Paulo.
