During a press conference held this morning at its corporate headquarters, Aerolíneas Argentinas announced the launch of a new international route from the interior of Argentina, which will connect Córdoba with Asunción, Paraguay.
The flights between the two cities are scheduled to begin in April 2024, operating on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Flights will depart from Córdoba at 7:35 am, arriving in Asunción at 10:30 am. The return flight from the Paraguayan capital will be at 6:40 pm, arriving in Córdoba at 7:20 pm. The route will be operated by Embraer E190 aircraft with a capacity for 96 passengers.
The company highlighted that these flights will allow connections to the 16 domestic destinations to which it flies from Córdoba: Salta, Jujuy, Tucumán, Resistencia, Posadas, Puerto Iguazú, San Juan, Mendoza, Mar del Plata, Neuquén, Chapelco, Bariloche, Trelew, Comodoro Rivadavia, El Calafate, and Ushuaia, thus opening a new gateway to the Paraguayan market.
Aerolíneas Argentinas’ service will fill the void left by Air Europa, which until mid-this year connected Córdoba with Madrid, making a stopover in Asunción. This stopover was eliminated due to high demand in favor of offering non-stop flights.
