Aerolíneas Argentinas has revealed its schedule for the upcoming summer season within the domestic market, along with news for the entire year of 2024 which includes an increase in flight frequencies to 14 national destinations. The announcement, led by Fabián Lombardo, the company’s Commercial Director, showcased a strategic focus to meet growing demand.
The most popular destinations are San Carlos de Bariloche, Ushuaia, El Calafate, Puerto Iguazú, Mendoza, Salta, San Miguel de Tucumán, Neuquén, Córdoba, and Comodoro Rivadavia, in descending order.
During peak sales weeks, promotions such as Cyber Monday and Black Friday, as well as pre-travel launches to boost off-season demand, saw spikes ranging from 169,000 to 305,000 bookings per week. Cyber Monday set a sales record by exceeding 300,000 reservations.

More Flights in the Summer Season
In line with popular destinations and the summer season, Aerolíneas Argentinas will introduce additional frequencies to 15 national destinations. Córdoba will have 20 daily flights, San Carlos de Bariloche 15, Mendoza 14, Salta 10, El Calafate and Ushuaia 11 each, Puerto Iguazú 9, Mar del Plata 8, Neuquén, Tucumán, and Comodoro Rivadavia 7 each, Rosario and Resistencia/Corrientes 6 each, and Trelew/Madryn 5. Jujuy will have 5 daily flights.
For the high summer season, a total of 3,343,000 seats will be available, reflecting a 9% increase from 2023 and 8% from 2019. For the entire year of 2024, the offer will be 14,765,000 seats, an increase of 12% from 2023 and 19% from 2019.
To sustain the increase in new frequencies, the airline added two Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, and in 2024 will include 7 additional aircraft of the same model. Also, flights will be offered from Buenos Aires/Ezeiza to El Calafate, Puerto Iguazú, San Carlos de Bariloche, and Ushuaia with Airbus A330-200 to meet demand.
By the end of 2024, the airline will receive the first Embraer 195-E2 of 12 aircraft, which will gradually replace the previous generation Embraer 190.
Aerolíneas Argentinas Increases Its Flights to 14 Destinations After Summer
Beyond summer, Aerolíneas Argentinas plans to increase frequencies to 14 destinations from Buenos Aires starting April 2024, surpassing pre-pandemic levels, according to data from the Cirium platform:
- Corrientes (CNQ), from 10 to 12 weekly flights.
- Formosa (FMA), from 12 to 16 weekly flights.
- Merlo (RLO), San Luis; from 2 to 4 weekly flights.
- Paraná (PRA), Entre Rios; from 8 to 9 weekly flights.
- Posadas (PSS), Misiones; from 18 to 25 weekly flights.
- Río Cuarto (RCU), Córdoba; from 4 to 6 weekly flights.
- Río Gallegos (RGL), Santa Cruz; from 15 to 17 weekly flights.
- Río Grande (RGA), Tierra de Fuego; from 12 to 14 weekly flights.
- San Juan (UAQ), from 19 to 21 weekly flights.
- San Luis (LUQ), from 9 to 12 weekly flights.
- Santa Fe (SFN), from 10 to 17 weekly flights.
- Santa Rosa (RSA), La Pampa; from 6 to 9 weekly flights.
- Santiago del Estero (SDE), from 12 to 16 weekly flights.
- Viedma (VDM), Río Negro; from 4 to 6 weekly flights.
Additionally, La Rioja and Catamarca will have 12 weekly flights, but the current triangulation they offer will be eliminated.
«We are closing an excellent year with a record number of passengers and aiming for an even better 2024. We are flying more and more, doing so in a more efficient way without spending the state budget allocated for this year. And we did it, moreover, having incorporated fleet and making investments in various strategic areas,» explained Pablo Ceriani, president of Aerolíneas Argentinas.
In 2024, Aerolíneas Argentinas projects an offer of 14,765,000 seats, representing a growth of 12% when compared to 2023 and 19% compared to 2019. The goal, on the other hand, is to reach 12.3 million passengers transported.

The company highlights that it already offers 52 routes between interprovincial destinations without passing through Buenos Aires, with the Córdoba HUB connecting 16 national destinations.
According to ANAC Argentina and Aerolíneas Argentinas, the company transported 9,049,167 domestic passengers between January and October 2023 with an average occupancy of 84%, a 6% increase when compared to the same period in 2019.
