Avianca’s Transition: Neuhauser to Lead Grupo Abra, Pedreira Steps in as CEO

In light of the integration of Avianca and Gol under the same holding umbrella, this Tuesday it was confirmed that Adrián Neuhauser will assume the role of new CEO of Grupo Abra starting January 2024, while maintaining a position at Avianca as Executive Vice-Chairman of the board.

His position as CEO and president of Avianca will be taken by Frederico Pedreira, the current Chief Operating Officer and a key figure in the transition of the Colombian airline towards a new business model more akin to low-cost.

I look forward to continuing to work with him, and the whole team, for many more years,” said Adrián Neuhauser, who joined Avianca in 2019 as CFO before being named CEO and president in 2021, overseeing the process of entering and exiting Chapter 11, as well as the post-pandemic reactivation of operations.
