Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico presents the first non-stop passenger service from Guadalajara International Airport to Canada, operated by Canadian carrier Flair Airlines.

The first flight on the Guadalajara-Vancouver route will take place on May 31, 2024 with a twice-weekly schedule (Monday and Friday), the service will be operated in Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with a capacity of 189 seats.

«This route marks a milestone for our city, as we have achieved a long-awaited connection with the city of Vancouver, which will be the gateway to Canada for our passengers. At GAP we continue to work to increase international connections at Guadalajara Airport, proof of which is that during the first nine months of the year we served nearly 4 million international passengers,» said Martín Pablo Zazueta Chávez, director of Guadalajara Airport.

Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico, through its Route Development Team, held negotiations with Flair Airlines at Routes World 2023 Istanbul to materialize this service. The low cost carrier’s schedule serves the main vacation and VFR (friends and/or family visiting) markets for Canadian and U.S. seniors. Flair flies to popular destinations such as Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Kingston, Cancun and Punta Cana.

«With a clear focus on expanding air connectivity, Jalisco is positioned as a world-class tourist destination and the second most important in the country. In collaboration with GAP and the support of the airlines, we have strengthened our ties with Canada, the second largest tourist nationality arriving to Jalisco after the United States,» said Vanessa Pérez Lamas, Secretary of Tourism.
