Air Europa increases its operation to Venezuela

Air Europa will expand its connectivity in Latin America by increasing its flights to Venezuela, adding an additional Sunday service on the Madrid-Caracas segment, bringing the service to five flights a week. The schedule will be maintained throughout the year, in response to strong passenger demand for the route in 2023.

Globalia’s airline continues to strengthen its presence in the region, with an estimated 140,000 passengers in 2024, which represents a considerable increase over recent years.

Flight UX 71 takes off on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Adolfo Suarez International Airport at 16:40 and lands at Maiquetía Airport at 21:00. The return UX 72 departs Caracas at 23:00 and arrives in Madrid at 12:35 the following day. The services will be operated by Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.

Air Europa began operations in Venezuela in 2001, the increase in services to the Venezuelan capital is part of its Atlantic strategy. The Spanish airline will strengthen its presence in destinations such as Colombia, Ecuador and Paraguay. It will offer five weekly flights to New York and Santa Cruz de la Viru Viru. The connection to Salvador de Bahia in Brazil will have three services a week to meet holiday demand.

We are very pleased to redouble our commercial commitment to Venezuela. In addition to the good performance of this market, we have an extraordinary relationship with the national tourism authorities, with whom we share a vision of the strategic connection that this route represents as an engine of commercial and social development for the country,” said Jesús Nuño de la Rosa, CEO of Air Europa.
