The Santiago Martínez-Cava Airport (MAH), serving the island of Menorca in the Balearic archipelago, achieved a historic milestone by surpassing 4 million annual transported passengers for the first time in its history.

This achievement occurred during the boarding of Iberia Regional flight IB8963 bound for the city of Madrid (MAD). Upon boarding the plane, the 4 millionth passenger for Menorca Airport was honored by the airport director and Iberia’s scale chief.

The 4 millionth passenger received a gift of a bouquet of flowers, access passes to the airport’s VIP lounge, and a check with 35.00 Avíos to be exchanged for plane tickets, the latter being a gift from the airline.

Menorca Airport has regained its pre-pandemic activity, and in 2022, it came very close to achieving this milestone, closing the year with 3,900,935 passengers. Currently, Menorca offers direct flights to: Paris, Mallorca, Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, and Bilbao. All flights are operated by the IAG Group and its airlines, Iberia and Vueling.
