Aerus, the new Mexican regional airline, has announced the launch of three new routes. Two of these connections will depart from Poza Rica Airport, while the third will be added to the route network from Monterrey.

The route between Monterrey and San Luis Potosí will have a daily flight. This schedule will enable the swift connection of San Luis Potosí with Piedras Negras and Torreón with a brief layover in the city of Monterrey.

The connection between Poza Rica and Veracruz will have six weekly flights, while the flight between Poza Rica and Tampico will have five weekly flights. Through these new routes, Aerus customers can extend their journeys from Poza Rica to Villahermosa, Reynosa, or Matamoros. Additionally, Aerus will reestablish the route between Tampico and Reynosa, initially with three weekly flights.

With a fleet of three Cessna C208 Grand Caravan EX airplanes with a capacity for 9 passengers, Aerus has completed over 2,400 commercial flights since the start of operations on April 27, 2023. The airline has achieved a 60% occupancy rate.

The airline will be the launch customer in Latin America for the new aircraft from the U.S. manufacturer Textron, the Cessna 408 SkyCourier. Aerus has a pending order for two units of the new Cessna turboprop. Furthermore, it has a letter of intent with Eviation Alice for 30 electric aircraft.
