Air Algérie will be the launch customer for the new ATR Digital Maintenance Documentation System. Both companies have signed the contract for the first package of digital maintenance documentation, allowing the airline to further strengthen its maintenance documentation system.

The Algerian airline will have access to raw data provided by the French manufacturer through XML-formatted line maintenance publications. This is a new service offered by ATR to its operators, and in the case of Air Algérie, access to digital maintenance documentation will be available for three years.

This documentation is loaded by ATR into the Airline Maintenance Information System via AMOS, a comprehensive solution designed by Swiss-AS to optimize the digitization of airline maintenance management.

The Technical Director of Air Algérie, Laid Bouchama, stated, “We are proud to be the launch customer for this new service that will help streamline our daily maintenance procedures, reducing downtime and increasing the availability of our fleet. This tripartite cooperation ensures that we all benefit from extensive expertise in on-site operations, engineering knowledge, and digitization, to the advantage of our passengers who will appreciate the reliability of our service.”

Stefano Marazzani, SVP Customer Support and Services at ATR, commented: “Seeing a established customer like Air Algérie put their trust in one of our new products is the best recognition of the value of our experience.”

“The new ATR Digital Maintenance Documentation package will be a decisive tool, allowing Air Algérie to further optimize its maintenance management processes, ultimately resulting in more reliable and accessible connectivity for local communities,” added Marazzini.

Benefits for Air Algérie

Air Algérie will be able to optimize engineering and maintenance operations for its 15 ATR aircraft. Thanks to this tripartite collaboration and innovative service, the airline will benefit from both time and cost savings, as well as improved safety and compliance with regulations.

The airline can shorten review processes, streamline and simplify the distribution of publications, reduce the preparation time for maintenance reviews, standardize the structure and format of its documentation, enhance the consistency of information across all aircraft manuals, automate review tracking and document control, thus saving time in preparing regulatory audits.

Fabiano Faccoli, CEO of Swiss-AS, expressed: “We are pleased to see that the recently signed collaboration agreement with ATR is already benefiting our customers, and that our digitization solutions are a true support for their daily operations. It’s pure technology that facilitates the daily tasks of our customers and ensures they can focus on core and value-added activities.”
