Asiana Airlines expands its operations to Australia with the resumption of its service between Seoul-Incheon and Melbourne offering double the number of flights. The South Korean carrier is the only airline offering non-stop flights between South Korea and the capital of Victoria.
Asiana began seasonal services to Melbourne in December last year, but the airline has confirmed its return by doubling its offering, with the route resuming from July 2 to September 2. Asiana currently operates a daily flight between Seoul-Incheon and Sydney.

«Seoul was Melbourne’s largest unserved market, so we were not surprised when in January we saw an average occupancy factor of 96% on all Asiana flights arriving at Melbourne Airport, representing less than 10 empty seats on almost every flight. We know there is high demand for this service, with more than 4,500 passengers flying between the two cities in December and January,» said Jim Parashos, Head of Aviation at Melbourne Airport,
