Azul Suspends Flights to Orlando and Fort Lauderdale from Two Brazilian Cities

The routes Azul Brazilian Airlines operates from Belo Horizonte International Airport, in Confins (MG) and from Gilberto Freyre International Airport, in Recife, to Fort Lauderdale (near Miami) and Orlando will be discontinued on March 1st, returning at the end of May.

The information was initially published by the Passageiro de Primeira portal, and later confirmed to our affiliated media in Brazil, Aeroin by the airline  which stated that the routes will undergo “temporary alterations”, but that the flights departing from Campinas, Belém, and Manaus to Florida will be maintained during the period.

Passengers who purchased direct flights departing from the capital of Minas Gerais or Pernambuco will be reaccommodated on other flights with layovers in the other three capitals that will maintain the routes.

Before the Coronavirus pandemic, some of the routes to the USA departing from Belo Horizonte and Recife were seasonal, operating only in the high season.
