KM Malta Airlines and Lufthansa Group announce a new bilateral codeshare agreement. This partnership, effective from March 31, 2024, includes flights operated by member airlines of the Lufthansa Group.
Thanks to this strategic alliance, customers of KM Malta Airlines and Lufthansa Group will enjoy a smoother travel process, with the ability to check in at the departure airport and retrieve checked luggage at their final destination.
The codeshare agreement allows passengers from both airlines to book a single ticket for multiple flights covering the routes of KM Malta Airlines, Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, and Brussels Airlines.
This collaboration will add thirty-five additional destinations across Europe through services operated by the Lufthansa Group, expanding the network of KM Malta Airlines. It’s noteworthy that the Maltese airline already offers direct flights to Munich, Frankfurt, and Zurich.
This strategic partnership enables Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Swiss, the airlines of the Lufthansa Group, to place their codes on KM Malta Airlines flights between Malta and destinations such as Munich, Vienna, Brussels, and Zurich. Simultaneously, it enhances connectivity with the extensive global network of these airlines to and from Malta.
