Smartwings and Lufthansa Technik have signed an agreement to provide comprehensive LEAP-1B engine maintenance services for the Boeing 737 MAX fleet of the largest Czech airline. The first commissioning is scheduled for early 2025. Also, the existing service contract for the CFM56-7B engines powering Smartwings’ fleet of 30 Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft has been extended to 2030.

Lufthansa Technik already offers comprehensive component support services for Smartwings Boeing 737 Next Generation and MAX 8 aircraft, including component maintenance, repair, and overhaul, as well as access to resource libraries and component delivery at select international airports in Europe.
