Norse Atlantic to extend lease of four Boeing 787 Dreamliners to Air Europa

Norse Atlantic Airways will extend the lease contracts for four Boeing 787 aircraft until the end of May 2025. Three 787-8s and one 787-9 will continue to be subleased, increasing profits for the Norwegian airline.

Norse has a total of 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliners. All aircraft are subject to long-term flexible lease conditions agreed upon during 2021, when leasing prices were at historic lows. The low leasing prices are fixed for the entire duration of the leases, without adjustments for inflation.

Norse Atlantic delivered to Air Europa three Boeing 787-8s (EC-NVZ, EC-NXA, and EC-NZG) and two 787-9s (EC-NVX and EC-NVY). These aircraft have been operating for the Spanish airline since mid-2022, except for the one registered as EC-NZG, which arrived in December of the same year.

Bjørn Tore Larsen, CEO and founder of Norse Atlantic Airways, stated that this extension of the sublease contracts for four of our Dreamliner aircraft provides a new opportunity to increase the total cash benefit secured during the lease period.

Our strategy is to grow at a steady pace in line with market demand. We intend to operate 12 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft during our summer season of 2024 and expect to achieve a fully operational fleet of 15 aircraft by 2025, he added.
