Ryanair unveils its biggest-ever schedule in Austria for the 2024 summer season: the airline will include four new routes for a total of 84 routes and traffic growth of 15% to a record 7 million passengers.

In 2023, Ryanair doubled its pre-pandemic traffic (from 2.7 million to 6 million in 2023, achieving faster recovery in Austria. The low-cost airline brings more choice, more competition, and more affordable fares.

While Ryanair continues to expand low-fare traffic and add exciting new destinations such as Olbia, Rijeka, Split, and Tirana, state-subsidized AUA, owned by Lufthansa, has not achieved any significant growth since 2019 (only 1 %),» said Michael O’Leary, CEO of Ryanair.
