AirAsia Malaysia X lands in Australia

On March 11, AirAsia Malaysia X entered the Australian market for the first time with a new non-stop service Kuala Lumpur – Perth. Two AirAsia Group airlines will be operating in Western Australia with this new service.

Flight AK 604 was operated with an A321neo with a special livery «3,2,1, take off» and registered as 9M-VAA. The aircraft took off from Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 14:30 local time and landed at Perth Airport at 19:34, after five hours and five minutes.

This new service will provide more options for those traveling between Western Australia and Kuala Lumpur; Malaysia is Western Australia’s fourth-largest international visitor market. AirAsia will offer more than 170,000 seats annually on this route.

Kuala Lumpur – Perth flight schedule

  • Kuala Lumpur – Perth Flight AK 604 KUL 14:10 – PER 19:50 daily flights.
  • Perth – Kuala Lumpur Flight AK 605 PER 20:40 – KUL 02:40+1 daily flights.

The route is operated by Airbus A321neo aircraft with a capacity of 236 seats in a single economy class configuration. Malaysia Airlines and Batik Air are other airlines operating between Perth and Kuala Lumpur.
