airBaltic adds routes and boosts connections from Latvia and Estonia

airBaltic expands its operation in Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania with new routes to Portugal, Finland, and Norway for the winter season starting at the end of October 2024.

Madeira is a unique destination in our network and offers a fantastic leisure experience with its magnificent scenery and stunning nature. In addition, the new routes – from Tallinn and Vilnius to Kittilä and Oslo – will serve as destinations for leisure and business travel,» said Martin Gauss, President and CEO of airBaltic.

«As we prepare for the upcoming season, we constantly assess the market and are committed to further improving connectivity to and from the region. In 2024, we will operate a record number of routes from our bases than ever before, enhancing global connectivity, generating significant interest, and offering passengers a wide range of travel options,» added Gauss.

New routes

  • Riga, Latvia – Madeira, Portugal: starts October 28, 2024.
  • Tallinn, Estonia – Kittila, Finland: starts December 21, 2024.
  • Vilnius – Oslo Torp, Norway: starts October 29, 2024.

The routes will be operated on Airbus A220-300 aircraft, offering a cabin with more space for hand luggage, renovated lavatories, oversized windows, and wider seats.

Also, airBaltic will increase flights from Riga to Stockholm, Prague, and Tempere, among others, as well as from Tallinn to Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and Gran Canaria, and from Vila to Amsterdam, Paris, and Berlin. In addition, the airline will continue to operate some seasonal services during the winter season, such as Riga-Ljubljana, Riga-Baku (November), Tallinn-Malta (November), Vilnius-Lisbon and Vilnius-Hamburg.
