All Nippon Airways (ANA) has introduced the Boeing 787-10 on domestic routes in a high-density configuration. The Japanese airline is a launch customer for the Boeing 787 and ANA Group is the largest Dreamliner operator worldwide, with a fleet of all three variants (787-8, 787-9 and 787-10), and its number of orders reaching 100 units, including options.
The first scheduled route is between Tokyo Haneda and Sapporo Chitose and is expected to be introduced to destinations such as Osaka-Itami, Osaka-Kansai, Fukuoka, and Naha. The 787 reduces fuel consumption by approximately 25% compared to its predecessors, as well as reducing carbon dioxide emissions and noise.
The Boeing 787-10 domestic configuration has 28 seats in premium class and 401 in economy class. The aircraft is equipped with GEnx-1B engines that have optimum fuel efficiency.
The premium class seats are manufactured by Safran Seats US. Equipped with a 15.6-inch personal touchscreen monitor, the reclining seats feature a wide seat width (approximately 127 centimeters), a large seat divider, footrests, headrests, and ample storage space for accessories.
The seats in the tourist class were developed in conjunction with Toyota Boshoku Corporation and are equipped with a 13.3-inch personal monitor (10.1-inch for the first row), manual recline and computer power supply, and a USB port.
