Delta Air Lines will resume its flights between New York (JFK) and Marco Polo Airport in Venice, Italy (VCE). This route will feature a daily flight operated by a Boeing 767-300 with 216 seats.

In addition, the airline will increase its offerings on the Atlanta (ATL) to Venice route. Delta will resume its non-stop service at the end of March and add a second flight for the summer 2024 season, operating 17 weekly flights on this route.

Matteo Curcio, Senior Vice President of Delta for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, stated: «Venice, being one of the most beautiful cities in the world, is highly popular among U.S. travelers, and our flights bring valuable tourism and business opportunities to the city and the region, as well as unparalleled opportunities for Venetians looking to explore destinations throughout the Americas.»

«We are pleased to offer customers more options this summer with flights from New York and additional service from Atlanta,» he added.

Delta’s summer 2024 schedule between New York, JFK, and Venice will operate in cooperation with its European partners Air France, KLM, and Virgin Atlantic.

The itinerary will depart from New York at 20:55 (local time) under flight number DL 288, arriving in Venice at 10:15 the following day. The return flight will depart from VCE at 12:15 and land in JFK at 17:05.

Camillo Bozzolo, Aviation Development Director of the SAVE Group, noted that «the resumption of Delta Air Lines connections with the hubs of New York and Atlanta confirms the steady growth of traffic between Venice and North America, which, with over a million passengers in the last year, has significantly exceeded 2019 volumes.»

«The increase to 10 weekly frequencies on the Venice-Atlanta route will further expand the range of destinations connecting with North America, Central America, and South America,» Bozzolo added.

As part of Delta’s $12 billion investments in airport terminals, frequent flyers will enjoy new premium VIP lounges at New York-JFK Airport and other U.S. destinations such as Boston and Los Angeles, enhancing the customer experience.

Connecting passengers will also benefit from improvements at Delta’s Terminal 4 at JFK, facilitating transfers to over 60 subsequent connections.
