Frontier Airlines expands its offerings in the Northeast by landing at two major airports in the New York metropolitan area for the first time. Beginning in June, the low-cost carrier will have nonstop services from John F. Kennedy Airport and Newark to Puerto Rico, competing with Delta Air Lines, JetBlue, Spirit, and United Airlines.

Frontier is also expanding its offerings in Mexico with a new service between Phoenix-Sky Harbor and Los Cabos, the carrier’s third route on the Mexican Pacific. In addition, expansion continues in California, with the low-cost carrier scheduling a nonstop flight between Orange County and San Francisco.

New routes

  • New York JFK – San Juan, Puerto Rico: begins June 6 with two daily flights.
  • Newark – San Juan, Puerto Rico: begins June 27 with 11 weekly flights.
  • Phoenix/Sky Harbor – Los Cabos: begins May 16 with twice-weekly flights.
