Air Canada adds new flights to Europe and Asia for summer 2024

Air Canada is boosting its European and Asian offerings for the summer season. In addition to international and enhanced routes to Singapore, Madrid, Stockholm, Osaka and Seoul-Incheon, global capacity for summer 2024 increases by 30% to Asia-Pacific and 25% to key Mediterranean destinations compared to last summer.

Air Canada’s Atlantic schedule will provide the most non-stop flights between Canada and Europe of any airline. From Montreal and Toronto, the Canadian airline will begin new nonstop routes to Stockholm and increase service to Rome-Fiumicino and Athens.

From Montreal, the airline will start year-round nonstop service to Madrid, increase flights to Paris to have up to three daily flights during the peak summer season and reinstate service to Lyon. From Toronto, it will increase service to Copenhagen and start flights to Edinburgh and Brussels at the beginning of the season.

In the Asia-Pacific market, Air Canada is consolidating its operations at its trans-Pacific hub in Vancouver. The airline has just started flights to Singapore, the longest flight in its network, and will increase capacity to Hong Kong, Osaka-Kansai and Seoul-Incheon. On the East Coast, the airline will start seasonal service between Toronto and Osaka-Kansai and increase capacity to Tokyo, while from Montreal, Air Canada will start a seasonal route to Seoul-Incheon, complementing the enhanced capacity on service to the Japanese capital.

Improved international services from Montreal

  • Madrid: 4-5 flights per week (new seasonal service).
  • Stockholm: 3 flights per week (new seasonal service).
  • Seoul-Incheon: 4 flights per week (new seasonal service).
  • Lyon: resumption on March 30, 3-4 flights per week.
  • Athens: increase from 7-8 to 10 flights per week.
  • Rome-Fiumicino: increase from 8 to 9 weekly flights.
  • Paris: increases to three daily flights during peak season.
  • Amsterdam: resumes March 30 with daily flights.

Improved international services from Toronto

  • Stockholm: two flights per week (new seasonal service).
  • Osaka-Kansai: three weekly flights (new seasonal service).
  • Copenhagen: increase from 5 to 7 weekly flights.
  • Athens: increase from 7-8 to 9 weekly flights.
  • Rome-Fiumicino: increases from 10 to 12 weekly flights.
  • Edinburgh: resumes on May 1 with daily flights.
  • Brussels: resumes May 2 with four flights a week.

Improved international services from Vancouver

  • Singapore: 4 flights per week (new route).
  • Osaka-Kansai: increases from 4 to 6 flights per week.
  • Hong Kong: increase from 7 to 11 flights per week.
