Turkish Airlines to operate the longest flight in Denver

Turkish Airlines expands its network in the United States with a new non-stop service between Istanbul and Denver International Airport. This route will be the longest served in Denver.

«This is a historic announcement for the Mile High City, which reinforces Denver’s competitive position on the global stage. Turkish Airlines’ investment will further enhance our diversity, both commercially and culturally, and provide new opportunities for trade and travel,» said Mike Johnston, Mayor of Denver.

Turkish Airlines will become the twenty-sixth airline to operate in Denver (and the fifth from Star Alliance after United, Lufthansa, Air Canada, and Copa Airlines). The service will start with three flights a week on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

According to analyses from Denver airport, the new Turkish Airlines route will have an economic impact of 54 million dollars on Colorado’s economy and will create 350 new jobs. Passenger demand between Denver and Istanbul has increased by 50% since 2019 according to industry data.

Moreover, Denver will be Turkish Airlines’ fourteenth destination in the United States after New York JFK, Chicago O’Hare, Boston, Newark, Washington-Dulles, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston-Intercontinental, Detroit, Seattle-Tacoma, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

Flight Schedule

Starts on June 11, 2024.

  • Istanbul – Denver Flight TK 201 IST 13:55 – DEN 17:40 Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
  • Denver – Istanbul Flight TK 202 DEN 19:35 – IST 16:25+1 Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Starting July 9, a fourth weekly flight will be scheduled and the route will be regularly operated on Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
