American Airlines continues to boost its transatlantic network from Philadelphia International Airport with the start of service to Nice-Côte d’Azur Airport, the carrier’s second destination in France. This route allows travelers to explore the French Riviera and Cannes, expanding the company’s offerings to Mediterranean destinations.
Flight AA746 was operated on a Boeing 787 registered as N822AN. The aircraft took off from Philadelphia International Airport at 21:21 local time and landed at Nice-Côte d’Azur Airport at 10:38 the following day, after seven hours and 17 minutes.
With the arrival of American, Nice-Côte d’Azur Airport will be served by all three major U.S. carriers. Nice’s transatlantic offering also has flights to New York JFK, Newark, Atlanta and Montreal.

The route is operated on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with 285 seats in total, with 30 seats in Business Class, 21 Premium Economy, 27 Economy Plus and 207 Economy.
In June of this year, American will begin nonstop flights from Philadelphia to Naples (Italy) and Copenhagen (Denmark). American will provide 15 daily flights from Philadelphia to 14 European destinations, the airline’s largest schedule since 2019. With increased service to 70 domestic destinations from Philadelphia, American offers greater nonstop access for customers across the U.S. to Europe.
American also has European service from Philadelphia to London-Heathrow, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Rome-Fiumicino, Madrid, Zurich, Amsterdam, Dublin, Barcelona, Lisbon, Venice and Athens.
