Diehl Aviation will build a new production plant in Querétaro, Mexico. The new facility will begin operations in mid-2025, with the first component to be manufactured being the overhead compartments for the Airbus A220 family.

The new production plant aims to further strengthen cooperation with key customers such as Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Embraer, and major local airlines.

Diehl Aviation is committed to establishing a presence in America to have facilities closer to its customers. This new location allows for shorter distances and travel times for parts to reach their customers’ production centers.

The company chose Querétaro due to its central location, excellent infrastructure, and proximity to the Querétaro International Airport.

The Aerotech Industrial Park is a significant industrial site focused on automotive and aerospace manufacturing, housing renowned companies such as Bombardier, Airbus, and Safran.

The new Diehl Aviation plant will initially have 8,000 m² of production space and an office area. Additionally, it will create 30 new jobs initially and approximately 500 jobs in the medium term.

Production is scheduled to start in mid-2025, with the first products being the especially spacious overhead compartments for Airbus A220 aircraft.
