Qatar Airways Group Launches New Premium Aerial Tours Over Doha: “Discover Doha by Air”, a new initiative by Discover Qatar, aims to attract tourists to explore the city’s most iconic landmarks from above.

The flights will be conducted on Cessna C208 Caravan aircraft, each accommodating 8 passengers. Departures will occur from an exclusive Doha International Airport (DOH) terminal. The scenic flight will last approximately 45 minutes.

Senior Vice President of Discover Qatar, Steven Reynolds, stated: “We invite customers to embark on an unforgettable journey over the skies of Doha, flying over extraordinary landscapes and cultural treasures aboard the Cessna 208 Caravan.”

“At Discover Qatar, we continuously strive to enhance our offerings to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations,” added Reynolds.

These tours are designed to cater to travelers seeking tailored adventures. Each excursion is meticulously planned to allow customers to appreciate Doha’s iconic sites from above.

The inaugural flight of the “Discover Doha by Air” program is scheduled for June 27. Tickets can be booked through the website discoverqatar.qa/air and are priced at 710 QAR.

The scenic flights will operate from Thursday to Monday, with morning and afternoon departures. Discover Qatar also offers optional transfers to Doha International Airport for the “Discover Doha by Air” flights.

Additionally, this experience is available for passengers with a layover of 6 or more hours at DOH. The cost for transit passengers is 850 QAR, which includes private transfers from the commercial terminal to the premium terminal at Doha International Airport.

Itinerary

The aircraft will depart from the Premium Terminal at Doha International Airport, first flying over Al Thumama Stadium, Aspire Zone, and Education City. It will then head towards Lusail Stadium, Al Bayt Stadium, and Thakira Mangrove.

The journey continues with flyovers of The Pearl Island, Al Safliya Island, Katara Cultural Village, and West Bay. Before returning to the airport, the plane will pass over the Corniche, the National Museum of Qatar, the Museum of Islamic Art, and Stadium 974 for a grand finale.
