Volotea signs agreement with Atitech for maintenance of its Airbus A320s

Volotea announced the signing of an agreement with Atitech for the maintenance of its Airbus A320 fleet. Maintenance services for the airline’s fleet will be provided at Atitech’s headquarters at Naples Capodichino Airport (NAP).

Atitech will handle at least two aircraft during winter to enhance the efficiency and reliability of Volotea’s fleet.

This agreement strengthens the airline’s commitment to the Campania region, dating back to 2023. Atitech has eight maintenance bases distributed throughout Italian territory. Additionally, this agreement ensures the commencement of Volotea’s operations at the newly inaugurated Salerno Airport.

It’s worth noting that every time a company seals an agreement for the maintenance of its fleet, it underscores its commitment to passenger safety and well-being.

Volotea operates a fleet of 44 Airbus A320 family aircraft, comprising 20 A319-100 and 24 A320-200 ceo. The company experienced a significant expansion during 2023.

In 2021, Volotea phased out the last operational Boeing 717-200 in Europe, marking the end of an era for the only aircraft from the U.S. manufacturer that didn’t feature engines under its wings.

Eurowings and Volotea formalise their commercial partnership

The 717-200s, with an average age of 20 years, were replaced by Airbus A319 and A320. Volotea’s current fleet has an average age of 17.4 years, only three years younger than the retired fleet.
