American Airlines launches nonstop flights between Philadelphia and Copenhagen

American Airlines expands its European network with the start of nonstop flights between Philadelphia and Copenhagen, becoming the second U.S. carrier to fly to the Danish capital. The inaugural flight ceremony was held at Copenhagen Airport’s Gate C36, from where the first passengers departed.
On June 6, Flight 744 was operated by a Boeing 787 aircraft registered N823AN, which took off from Philadelphia Airport at 21:56 local time and landed at Copenhagen Airport at 10:59 the following day, after seven hours and three minutes.
«We are proud and very pleased that American Airlines has chosen Copenhagen as a new destination. It is worth celebrating and confirms our strong position as the largest airport in Northern Europe. I hope we will see even more American tourists, which will have a great impact on hotels and tourism in the Copenhagen area and the rest of Denmark,” said Peter Krogsgaard, Commercial Director of Copenhagen Airport.

Our new Copenhagen to Philadelphia route is an important step forward in the continued expansion of our network, and we look forward to welcoming our Danish customers to the U.S.,” said Jose A.
