Viva Aerobus expands its offerings in Texas with the start of nonstop flights between Torreon and San Antonio, the fifth route the company operates in the Texan city, complementing services to Mexico City, Leon/Del Bajio, Monterrey, and Queretaro.
On June 1, flight VB243 was operated on an Airbus A320 registered XA-VAW, which took off from San Antonio International Airport at 11:58 local time and landed at Francisco Sarabia International Airport at 12:06, after one hour and eight minutes.
This new international service is part of the expansion of Viva Aerobus in Torreon, the company also adds to its schedule several domestic services including Mexico City, Los Cabos, and Cancun.
Eight airlines offer international service from the San Antonio airport. Among them are: Viva Aerobus from Mexico City, Leon/Del Bajio, Monterrey, Torreon, and Queretaro; Volaris from Guadalajara and Mexico City; Southwest from Cancun; Aeromexico from Mexico City; and Condor from Frankfurt.

- Torreon – San Antonio Flight VB 244 TRC 13:45 – SAT 16:10 Tuesday and Saturday.
- San Antonio – Torreon Flight VB 243 SAT 12:05 – TRC 12:35 Tuesday and Saturday.
Flights are operated in Airbus A320 aircraft with a total capacity of 180 seats.
